Hey, bloggers! For my first post, I thought it would be fun to share my top 7 favorite products and tell you a bit about them, to give you guys a good idea of what I look for in a "must-have" product. These products are in no particular order!
- Palladio Herbal Powder Finish Foundation (Oil Free)- This foundation is from Palladio, a company that has many herbal cosmetics. This particular liquid foundation is enriched with vitamins to help minimize pores, reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles, and really improve the appearance and health of your skin. Because it is oil free, it is great for acne prone skin (which I have). It goes on as a liquid, but sets to a powder finish which means it is also great for oily skin types. It smells very good, feels light on your skin, and has a build-able coverage to help cover any blemishes or scars.
- Palladio Herbal Foundation Primer- This herbal primer, when used under foundation, creates a smooth canvas for any products you put onto your face. It helps your foundation go on streak-free and also prolongs the life of your makeup, keeping it in place for hours and hours.
- Laura Geller Baked Highlighter Duo (French Vanilla)- This highlighter is AMAZING for covering those pesky under-eye circles that many girls have. I also love to use it as a highlight on the tops of my cheekbones and cupid's bow (the "V" of your upper lip). When used on the cupid's bow, it creates the illusion of a larger upper lip to give you that plump look that we all love!
- Buxom Lip Gloss- Speaking of plump, Buxom glosses are the very best lip-plumping glosses on the market (that I have found, at least). When you apply this gloss, you immediately feel a cold sensation. You can literally feel it as it plumps up your lips. They come in a wide variety of colors, each is named after a girl. Is it any surprise that I adore the shade called "Samantha"? It is a beautiful pink-nude shade with slight gold shimmer. Perfect for a nude lip look!
- Too Faced La Vie En Rose Blush- I picked up this blush 3 or 4 years ago at Sephora and have used it daily ever since (the same package for 3-4 years). It is the perfect rosy-pink shade with some shimmer. Unlike many blushes I have tried, this blush did NOT cause any break outs for me. I adore this shade, and Too Faced has a lot of really pretty blushes if you are in the market for a new shade!
- They're Real Mascara- This mascara is by a company called Benefit. By far, this mascara will give you the most amazing length on both upper and lower lashes. The wand is specifically designed in such a way that it makes it almost impossible to clump this formula. My only complaint with this product is that it does NOT add thickness, only length
- Palladio Color Correcting Concealer (Green)- I know what you're thinking... but green concealer is an awesome tool for any girl to have in her makeup arsenal, especially us girls with acne or scarring! I have tried so many concealers to try to cover my breakouts and scars, but nothing has worked like this product. The science behind it is fairly simple, green is across from red in the color wheel so green on top of red will neutralize it. I put this green concealer on top of any red marks or acne breakouts and then blend it out using the Palladio Foundation and it severely diminishes the appearance of the blemish! Don't be afraid of using a green concealer, just make sure you blend, blend, blend! This particular concealer is amazing as well because it has vitamins in it to help fight the breakout as you wear it!
